Han Pei in OBS

IM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no camps for awhile now, need to keep my feet on the ground for awhile more, have to rememeber your roots! a short summary of Han Pei in OBS. First 3 days was quite slack, played the facilities in camp site 1 but hated cross field tracking but than came the 3 day expadition. Firstly, we tracked for a good 5 hours just to find some stupid tag on a few trees around the island with quotes by some fellas. Like come on la! i write better quotes than them la! U imagine caring an anvil like bag and tracking for hours looking for signs on trees in a weather where it suddenly rains heavily than stops and continues its cycle on and on and to accompany you, plenty of mosquitos double the size of that u find in singapore! plus they come in swarms! Next theres sea expidition, we kayak around the island, it was fun, seriously, but not when fishes jump into your boat and the rain becomes so blinding that u cant see anything! After that we pitched canvas sheet tents at the beach and when u cook halfway, it starts pouring again and your food you've been oh so waiting for after your long journey cant be cooked because the rain has spoilt it. Than in the middle of the night, AGAIN it rains but this time accompanied with gales that literary blow your tent away and having to spend your sleeping hours holding on to the top so that it does not fly away while cold rain drenches your body for the rest of the night. The only least stressful part is the raft builing and the jetty jumping.

Actually all of these is not so bad when you think about it, because OBS is a camp to make you feel that other camps are chicken feet compared to OBS! haha! But when u attend this camp u will really learn alot i tell u... i learnt one thing, OBS is not outward bound singapore, its ONLY BOYS SURVIVE! hahahahahaha! (my point is only half proven though)


Pictos!!!! this is my crew from OBS! Seriously, i never expected to bond with any of these people. If not for OBS, i think i wont even know most of them eventhough we see each other day in day out in school (ex school actually) but we guys made it right? eventhough it was tough at the start.. and we all struggle alot, we still became real close right? everyone of us.... thanks guys, i know la, OBS wasn't the most relax camp because of the weather conditions and all, so thanks everyone for suffering with me for the past 7 days! I love all of you! Eventhough i wont be able to see you guys in school like most of you guys will next year, ill be walking my seperate way... so stay united ok? eventhough you guys are from different backgrounds, different classes and differant cca s, remember who was your front and back in the forest when we were tracking, remember who kayaked with you around ubin, who shared the same food with you and mostly remember who were the people who went through all different emotions with u throughout the camp. I hope to return one day, and still see you guys after skool still hanging out together after school like the whole keng swee watch did every meal. KENG SWEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!




















Just something i'd like to tell all of you guys if u ever read my blog.....

Yeao Chong - Your really an asset to our team including very friendly with the ladies! When it comes to camping, you win me hands down!

Shereen - your certainly a nice person, at first i thought you were really hard to get going but you proved me wrong and showed me tat your a good team played in the end!

Jan Sheng - Your really a cheerful fellow and always very optimistic, the world needs more people like you!

Hui Wen - From the first time i knew you when you were sec 1 and when i were in camp i admit that i seriously misjudged your personality, u turned out to be a really helpful n caring person!

Chang Yang - Although your quiet most of the time, you listen and got things done. Thats what makes a good team, it takes 2 hands to clap and you certainly make a good right hand!

DS - At first when i saw u i thought u were some ah beng that would probably give me alot of problems but again i was wrong, you turned out to be cooperative and u dont complain! Most of all, i respect the fact that you actually have a soft side and you care for your family!

Winnie - Your quite funny in the sense that through your words, u dont seem very intellegent, but when you get dirty with the rest of the guys in the hands on, your equivalent to any other guy in our team! I take my hat off for you..

Aik He - Your a funny guy, really nice too, seeing that you and the other b ballers stopped clinging to just yourselves and glueing with the whole watch really put a tear to my eye, i believe when u take the leadership role, you'll make a really good big brother image to the team!

Wei Bin - Also another joker...your expressions really one of a kind and easy to get along with. Good job!

Yvette - You played your role well when u nevagated out at sea, i was impressed, but i cant say u excell in all areas though... however, im sure with the trainning we went through, you'll sure become a great leader too!

MinWei - I saw two sides of you during the camp. One was the very quiet side which u always were in class, and the other side where u very talkative. Its not a bad thing to talk alot, but when it comes to voicing out thoughts it would have been better if u put in the talkative side to use. Be more couragous!

Edy - One guy whom i felt was very sporting to begain with during the camp. Seriously i really like your charector because u show alot of integrity and responsibility in the things you do, you can take jokes well! keep up the spirit!

Yvonne - Your quite cooperative when it comes to doing work but you really are abit too timid sometimes, you have to step up ok? if not others will step on you!

Pei Jing - If i knew you outside the camp i would have found you a really likable girl, but im glad i knew you in the camp, cause i saw your true colours and i have to tell u this even though u may not like it but your really a spoilt brat sometimes and you whine too often. This is OBS not holiday in hawaii, sad to say, i found strong points benefitial to the team in everyone except for you please, u seem like a nice person, so if you have the chance, please prove it to me that my judgement is wrong.

Nav - I guess in this whole camp, you were the person whom i thought to be the most entu and you really help me pull up team spirit. Without you, i couldnt make a good leader. Your also a really good friend. Thanks for saving me from that SWORD FISH.

Ill miss each and everyone of you, especially the Cindy group! So 10 years down the road remember me! Han Pei! Your Overall In charge!
